Sometimes when I write music I do it from a place of consciousness; trying to express something over a predetermined theme. When I wrote these lyrics for Anton and Rafael, I didn’t however. It was a sort of flow that started with expressing thoughts on cognition, drives and sufferings which are universal, that we all (or at least most of us) experience. And in the end, I just ended up in a place where it seemed that it all related to Game of Thrones, so I ended up giving it an homage-verse to GoT. Enjoy!

Mentally, we might just try the same
we both work so hard to wash away this stain
we are left with images of distaste and distain
but now we aim for another distant terrain
We all bare rightful claims
we all loads and pains
hunger pangs, unmet demands
ways we fail, ways we strand
we are starved for games and thrones
a hunger burning in our bones
life trots on as if we know
anything about the path down which we go
but we’re never sure
we’re never sure
Mentally, we might just try the same
we both work so hard to wash away this stain
we are left with images of distaste and distain
but now we aim for another distant terrain
where the difference is who reigns,
who’s in control, in charge
no more campaigns
You were Daenerys, I was a simple Dothraki
became the Loras to your Renly
now you’re wild like Joffrey, unchecked by Cersei
but winter is coming, oh lord of light – help me
